This print was inspired by a window in an old cape house on the coast of Maine. Red climbing roses frame the window creating a lovely scent on a warm June day.

Janet Zeh

Hi, I'm Janet. I have been creating art ever since I could hold a crayon in my fist as a small child. Nothing with a flat surface was safe from my scribbling! When there was no paper available, I drew on the wallpaper, windowsills and even climbed up near the ceiling to try to hide the evidence. At age eight, I finally found an acceptable outlet for my desire to draw when my despairing parents booked lessons for me with a private tutor. Later, I studied art at Nazareth College of Rochester, Southern Connecticut State University and Rhode Island School of Design. Before painting professionally, I was a part-time free-lance illustrator in pen and ink and digital graphics for eighteen years while raising three sons. In 1994 I began...
