This scene was one I saw on a trip to the Maine coast. Seagulls sit on the rocks along the shore as the sparkling sea rolls in. I painted the original in watercolor with an impressionist feel.

Hi, I'm Janet. I have been creating art ever since I could hold a crayon in my fist as a small child. Nothing with a flat surface was safe from my scribbling! When there was no paper available, I drew on the wallpaper, windowsills and even climbed up near the ceiling to try to hide the evidence. At age eight, I finally found an acceptable outlet for my desire to draw when my despairing parents booked lessons for me with a private tutor. Later, I studied art at Nazareth College of Rochester, Southern Connecticut State University and Rhode Island School of Design.
